CWS Malaysia's ‘CHARITY DURIAN FEST 2010’ IS BACK!
DURIAN – The King of Fruits is making its presence felt once again at Subang Parade on July 4th Sunday for a good cause. Dubbed as the “Mother of All Charity Events in Subang Jaya”, this year’s Charity Durian Fest will once again gather people from all walks of life to join hands for a good cause.
This year’s event, in its 3rd year spearheaded by Subang Parade and SJ Echo (Subang Jaya’s community paper), will open up opportunities for corporate partners to join us in this innovative event which promises to be bigger and better than the years before it.
Proceeds from the event will be channelled to the Children’s Wish Society of Malaysia, a national charity based in Subang Jaya which fulfils the wishes of children who are stricken with terminal illnesses across the country.

FIVE tonnes of durian will make their way to Subang Parade on July 4th together with mangosteens and rambutans to delight shoppers who will get a chance to dig into the King of Fruits while chipping in for a good cause.
The details of the Festival are simple.
There will be a total of 4 eating sessions and tickets are sold at RM 20 for one hour of buffet. The schedule is as follow:

11:30am – 12:30pm: Registration
12.30pm – 1.00pm: Arrival of VIP’s
1:00pm – 2:00pm: Opening Ceremony

4:20pm – 4:40pm: Clean-up

FOUR tonnes in 40 minutes! That was the overwhelming success of last year’s “We Ate for Charity II” which drew more than 1,600 shoppers from all over the Klang Valley. This year, we are planning to split the eating sessions into four, each allocating an hour for shoppers who register to enjoy the high-quality durians we have sourced.
Subang Jaya State Assemblyman Hannah Yeoh will be our guest of honour to launch this year’s event.
An even larger crowd is expected this year at our annual event which is much anticipated by durian lovers as well as those who want to participate in this fun-filled charity event, both from the corporate sector, media and the local community.
We also believe this campaign will create extensive exposure for your brand and your organization will benefit from the excellent customer flow at Subang Parade (approximately 600,000* shoppers per month) and an opportunity to exercise your corporate responsibility.
